I joined the Legion originally to have a place to drink other than the local watering holes aka hotels. As I got to know more about the Legion and with the encouragement of my husband, I became involved on the executive some thirty years ago and have remained involved since. Although I didn't really aspire to become President of the branch, that eventually happened. I was Prez from 90-96 and have been so again since 2006.
